Carlisle Burch is a visual artist based in Phoenix, Arizona. Working primarily in drawing and painting, her imagery is rooted in memories from a childhood spent in the Mojave Desert and draws from 20th-century cartoons and American mythologies. Investigating the tension between perception, and illusion, Burch has presented solo exhibitions in Phoenix Arizona and participated in group shows throughout the country. Alongside her emerging studio practice, Burch maintains an active career as a freelance illustrator, developing a wide range of projects with clients across the United States in fields from publishing to design.
